Review Policy

Kid Lit Review is a US based book blog ran by an avid Children’s Literature reader. I write reviews from books of many different genres, age categories and formats.

Each month, I aim to post reviews of a picture book, an Early Reader and a Middle Grade title.

At Kid Lit Review, I am happy to discuss blog content and accept review copies from traditional publishers and their authors. If you have a post idea or review copy you think I may be interested in please contact me at:

Kid Lit Review doesn’t accept any monetary compensation from Authors or Publishers, for the reviews posted and all reviews are my own honest opinions.

Please note: Kid Lit Review is dedicated to the books we enjoy. While I do not guarantee a favorable review, I do not post reviews of books that I dislike or am unable to finish.

What I like:

First and foremost, I adore picture books. I also enjoy reading both Fiction and Non-Fiction children’s literature, especially the classics, action & adventure, fantasy & magic, science fiction and biographies.

While I will always prefer a hard or paperback book, I enjoy all formats, including board books, picture books, e-books (kindle), graphic novels and audio books.

While the primary focus of the blog is fiction, I am also happy to consider reviewing creative non-fiction titles.

What I will not accept:

No erotica or things of an adult nature.

No memoirs describing the abuse or neglect of children.

No overly didactic fiction, we read for pleasure.

Presentation of Reviews:

EachKid Lit Review contains cover artwork (where available), a summary of the book and a short review.

All of my book reviews are publicized and linked on my Pinterest & Instagram accounts, as well as theKid Lit Review Facebook fan page.

Kid Lit Review is unable to guarantee a publication date for a specific review.
